This clip is from Mr. Show, an HBO comedy sketch series that was aired years ago. This specific sketch is about a fictional 3-man metal band called Titannica who are in a hospital to give their number one fan a visit.

The clip started with the band entering the room where Adam Jimmy is confined. He was very surprised about the band’s visit because he is a big fan of theirs. He even claimed that, “I played Titannica’s ‘Try Suicide’ before I tried suicide.” This resulted to his parents filing a lawsuit against them, which the metal band won.

The band brought Adam gifts like an all-access backstage pass to every concert on their next tour. They also gave him a t-shirt with the name of the band on it; they asked Adam to try it on and when they removed the blanket off him, Adam was tiny and literally stick-thin with a big head. This made one band member pass out due to shock. They wanted to put the blanket on him again but Adam refused. “The cool air feels good,” he explained.

The wristband that the band brought him did not fit Adam’s tiny wrist so they made it into a “cool belt”. They also gave him a hat that made Adam Jimmy the happiest kid in the world because everyone is going to hang out with him when people see him hanging out with Titannica backstage. The band decided that they could not bring Adam along with them in their tour so Titannica played “Try Again” (Adam’s Song) which they wrote in the memory of their biggest fan.
