VIRAL: Prankster's plan goes awry -- in a good way

MANILA -- "If you give a homeless man money, do you ever wonder how he will spend it?" asked YouTube prankster Josh Paler Lin in a video which has gone viral over the holidays.

In the video, he said he will give $100 to a homeless man, who he will follow to see how the money would be used.

The next shot showed Lin approaching a mustachioed man in a black jacket and pants, lugging a large disposable bag.

"Are you sure? I'm starting to tear up," the man told Lin after being given the money. He then headed off to a liquor mart to buy items.

Contrary to what Lin expected, instead of liquor, the man bought food, which he gave to homeless people in a park.

"Do you even know them?" Lin, stunned by the man’s actions, asked after pulling him aside to talk.

"There are things money can't buy," the man said. "I get happiness out of what I'm doing."

Lin gave the man another $100. "I'm stunned," he said.

"One thing leads to another. There's a lot of good people who just happen to be homeless," the man said.

As of this writing, the video has garnered 20,722,409 views on Lin’s channel on YouTube.
